Reading the Alamogordo Daily Blather this morning I am left asking just what the bias is over at the ADN. Then it dawned on me that it is not exactly bias that drives the distortions and unequal reporting that permeates into the public through that miscreant gratuitous assault on trees for its paper and soybeans for its ink. As has been pointed out to me over and over again by executives at Media News Group (majority owner of the ADN) the news department merely supports the efforts of the advertising department. While this explains why the ADN seems all over the map when reporting similar events I have to ask you whether the objective of a free press is met in any way by this sort of “journalism”? First we have to define the benefit of an actual free press.

Today Alamogordo Dilly News staff imbecile Lord Karl Anderson treated us to another adventure from Henry Morgan Smith’s fantasy island. You may remember Smith as the ridiculous fellow who incited a veritable siege inside the Alamorosa truck stop when Otero County deputies arrived to cite him for violations of the smoking prohibition law. As much as I hate laws like this one I hate more a deranged inaccurate press foisting upon us the ravings of a documented madman with no clue whatsoever of any principle of law except for getting you to pay for his theft of court time and money by way of FREE process and anything else he can get for FREE. I have told you before that Michael Shinabery who writes for Alamogordo Daily News buffs the facts in the act of butt kissing, but with today’s story (Link) about John Lee dropping out of the race for Otero County Sheriff I can now say Shinabery is a liar. While everyone knows Shinabery spends a great deal of his time kissing the butt of Sheriff John Blansett it is now clear that he has moved around 180 degrees. Today’s actions by the lying conniving Shinabery were meant to sell out the people of Otero County without a doubt. What good is a newspaper that would print bald face lies in order to take the heat off of an elected official?

Thanks to Michael Shinabery and the Alamogordo Daily News we get to take another stroll through the lush meadows of Gobbler's Knob. Today's tonsil tickler is Shinabery's latest attempt to discredit the State Police and Medical Investigator, long suspected by Mike to be in the business of railroading cops apparently. While it would probably be quite hard for most guys to swallow this load it was apparently no problem for our resident UFO expert to sink his teeth into this one meant to assert that Anders got the shaft.

Well it was inevitable that the Alamogordo Daily News would begin a campaign to rehabilitate prosecutor Sandra Grisham. Not surprisingly Michael Shinabery, who had been relegated to covering people who did not come back to jail after furloughs and the extension of the county burn ban after his “Tales from Gobbler’s Knob” accounts of the Cody Posey case sparked public outrage, was tasked with the job. Recalcitrant in her position that Posey was not abused Grisham was allowed to avoid questions about the testimony she procured from Wade Myers M.D. and Juan Sosa PhD that eventually led District Judge James Waylon Counts to acknowledge at sentencing had misled him on issues material at every stage of the trial. It is this kind of client-side reporting that is responsible for Grisham talking at all after hiding her face from cameras after the sentencing. Is this sort of unquestioning press release journalism of any use at all?
