DETROIT, June 22 (Our Michigan Times) — Chevrolet has introduced the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, saying the pickup will be the “most powerful Silverado ever” and will reach dealers later this year.

In a June 16 newsroom release, the company said the redesigned truck will offer new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines, along with the enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax and the Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel.

Chevrolet said the lineup will continue to include four powertrain choices and added that the 2027 Silverado 1500 now offers the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in its class. The company did not publish horsepower or torque figures in the announcement.

The new Silverado also gets a digital interior across the lineup. Chevrolet said every trim will come with a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information center.

Higher-end versions, including the ZR2 and High Country, will add an 11.5-inch front passenger screen, along with a head-up display and a rear camera mirror, according to the company.

Chevrolet said the truck will be available later this year and that pricing will be announced later this year. The company did not provide a firm on-sale date.

The product page lists seven available models:

  • ZR2
  • High Country
  • Trail Boss
  • Silverado
  • Custom Trail Boss
  • Custom
  • WT

Chevrolet said the new model is “designed and reimagined throughout,” but the announcement did not include full technical specifications, fuel-economy figures or information about where the truck will be built.
