UNION, SOUTH CAROLINA, June 25 (Nationwide Times) — Three Wendy’s employees in Union, South Carolina, were charged after police said they retrieved a customer’s food from the trash, spat on it and served it back at the drive-thru.

Union police said the allegations involve Aaliyah Shuntai Sanders, Trinity Lashell Rice and Shadela Crystal Holley, all charged with tampering with a human drug product or food item. Reporting citing the Union Police Department identified the Wendy’s as the location on North Duncan Bypass.

According to the police account summarized in the reporting, a customer complained about an initial drive-thru order and the meal was remade before being handed back. The reports said a manager later wrote up the employees involved.

Fox News reported the arrests happened separately between June 16 and June 22. Audacy reported that Sanders and Rice were arrested and that a third employee was disciplined by the restaurant; the reporting did not clearly say whether Holley was among those arrested.
